Labor Doula Services

As your Labor Doula, I will help you stay strong and calm during labor to ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. I draw on my knowledge, CAPPA training and experience to provide you with the physical, emotional and informational support you need.  I use a lot of massage to help with comfort, positioning, birth balls, rebozo and other relaxation techniques.

Unforeseen things can come up during labor and I will educate you on how to handle these concerns while still maintaining control of your experience as much as possible. As your doula, I am working for you directly, not your caregiver or hospital/birth center.

Labor Doula services start at $800 and include:

  • Initial consultation including doula/client Q&A and contract review. A 50% non-refundable retainer fee is due at the time of contract signing.
  • 1-2 prenatal visits where we will discuss your pregnancy, history, risks and benefits of medical intervention. Will also discuss comfort measures and coping strategies for pain and fatigue.
  • Reasonable phone/email/text support starting from hire date
  • On-call to you from two weeks before your estimated due date and continual labor support from active labor to immediate postpartum.
  • Initial Breastfeeding support, if needed (typically stay 1-2 hours after delivery)
  • 1 postpartum visit

Supplemental Services

Supplemental services available include plant-based nutritional guidance, meal planning and meal preparation as well as ongoing post-partum support.

Grocery shopping and cooking meals can feel so overwhelming, especially when you are starting a family or adding onto your existing one. Sometimes it can feel downright impossible to leave the house when you're too tired and busy caring for a newborn. Trust me, I've been there. As both a full-time working mom and full time stay at home mom.

Postpartum moms need lost of nutritious foods to support healing and breastfeeding. A plant-based diet can also help you feel more energized and focused throughout your day.  I am a huge foodie so I love going to food festivals, sharing  recipes and cooking for my family, specifically plant-based meals. I've been on my vegan journey for a while and and I know I made some nutrition mistakes along the way. But I've learned from that, I found what works for myself and my family and I'm excited to share that with you. Together, we'll come up with balanced customizable and delicious food options that are adapted to fit your family's needs, with the postpartum mother in mind.

Food packages begin at $150 and are available to all postpartum clients who book a minimum of 20 hours with My Vegan Doula.
